Books
1) Kuckartz U. (2014). Qualitative Text Analysis: A Guide to Methods, Practice & Using Software. London, UK: Sage Publications Ltd.
- Just received a complimentary copy of this new book from Germany. Thanks Anne and Julia from MAXQDA! The contents of this book are very suitable for anyone, especially master's and doctoral students, conducting qualitative research, using examples from the QDA software MAXQDA.

2) Silver, C. & Lewins, A. (2014). Using software in qualitative reseach: a step-by-step guide. (2nd
edition).
London, UK: Sage Publications Ltd.

- A great, timely book on using ATLAS.ti, MAXQDA, NVivo, DEDOOSE, QDA Miner, HyperRESEARCH and TRANSANA. Just ordered a copy for my home institution Simon Fraser University (SFU). Let me write a short piece to review this book soon, particularly on how useful this book is for software users and whether the comparisons are unbiased based on the authors' experiences.

3) Friese, S. (2014). Qualitative data analysis with ATLAS.ti (2nd Edition). London, UK: Sage Publications Ltd.
- This is by far the best book written on how to use ATLAS.ti in a qualitative research study. As opposed to a guidebook, Dr. Susanne Friese combines the technical aspects of using ATLAS.ti (Chapters 1 to 4) with the conceptual approaches to qualitative research in general (Chapters 5 and 8) with the techno-conceptual functions with the software (Chapters 6, 7 and Addenda). Reading this book requires plenty of thinking on how it applies to readers' own research.

4) Bazeley, P., Jackson, K. (2013). Qualitative Data Analysis with Nvivo (2nd ed). London, UK: Sage Publications.

5) Padgett, D. (2012). Qualitative and mixed methods in public health. Thousand Oaks, California: Sage Publications.
